The Armenian National Archive retorts
The 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide approaches and both Armenian and Turkish historians liven up. Armenian historians and scientists again present irrefutable materials and documents testifying the Armenian Genocide, but Turkish historians continue refuting historical facts and falsifications of history. Among the latter stands out the book “The Armenian Cause in 120 documents of Russian state archives” by Turkish historian Mehmed Perincek published recently in Moscow.
Director of the Armenian National Archive Amatuni Virabyan notes that in his book the Turkish historian has used a variety of methods which are peculiar to falsifiers. For example, the author of the book used the excerpts of documents appropriate only for his thesis presenting them as sources taken from Russian state archives.
